What about Rashi's Daughters? This is an annoying sort of literary epidemic. Do we know anyone who has read any of these books? Are any of them worth reading? If so, can we petition the authors and publishers of those which are worthwhile to rename their books?

I thought of including Rashi's Daughters, but it was missing the key word "the". I think i know of people who have read "the Time traveler's wife" which is what, for some reason got me on this kick.

i think the Joyce carol oates one is the only one i'd consider reading, though i am intrigued by the cover art of "the memory keeper's daughter"

I noticed this too! Although I didn't know there were SO many.

The other title trend I don't like is "[Verb]ing [Name]". I think it first chafed at me around the time that Boxing Helena came out, but it just keeps rolling forward.

Heh...Now that I've got that out, I feel persnickety.

PS Sorry I always comment on your blog postings, like, a week and a half late!
